Founded by Ray Austin-Williams, who was called to the Bar back in 1996, today this Birmingham based Chambers is progressive and creative in helping individuals and businesses achieve and manage their legal requirements.

But that kind of success does not come by, just when you sit idly or do not have strict work ethic principles being put into practice…

The principles of our work help us to:
  • Earn our clients’ trust
  • Build our reputation
  • Attract thousands of individuals and businesses, all of whom (98%) have successfully dealt with their legal conundrums with our timely and diligent help…
We’ve always cherished the three pillars which our company has always stood upon:
  • A Commitment to Excellence
  • A Passion for Justice
  • An urge for fair pricing

We stand by:

A Commitment to Excellence

We treat each client as an individual; we help you find ways to see past your current legal issues. Legal disputes can be contentious, stressful and worrisome. We help you focus on a positive outcome, with the knowledge that you have the law and your legal team in your corner, and allow you to make a mental commitment to focus on solutions and not problems. At the very heart of our business is the drive to meet our clients’ needs to achieve outcome focussed results. We offer a fluid, transparent and tailored service where we work with you as well as for you to meet your needs. Our client relationships are based on trust and loyalty. Everything we do revolves around satisfying the needs of our clients. We genuinely value our clients’ opinions as it is a measure of our success. Our aim is to deliver a robust, dynamic, personal and cost-effective service with no compromise on quality.

A Passion for Justice

Justice is the legal theory by which fairness is administered. Our desire to achieve justice and fairness for every client is our driving force. We employ this desire equally with both individuals and businesses alike through a broad diversification of cases. We cannot guarantee the outcome of every case, but we can guarantee an unparalleled effort to achieve your desired outcome, and ultimately, justice.

An Urge for Fair Pricing

Legal services are notorious for being expensive and unaffordable. At Three Lions Chambers we offer reasonable, affordable and cost-effective access to the highest quality lawyers and legal professionals, without compromising on excellence. We aim to have the most won cases as opposed to any other Birmingham Chambers.

Are you in your third year at a university studying law or a post-graduate with at least a 2.1 degree in Law?

the most popular questions

  • Q: Is the first consultation completely free?
  • Q: How will I be kept informed of my case throughout the whole process?
  • Q: What will the legal service cost?
A: We understand how much of a thought should one give before making that final decision of hiring a lawyer…

Our first one hour consultations, and always will be, FREE of charge.

To ensure that your lawyer is properly engaged and bound by the strictest rules of confidentiality, we require a token payment of £1 to ‘hire’ your lawyer.

A: We value the importance of lawyer-client communication.

Although we would like to talk to you bi-weekly on the phone, that would be neither practical nor productive. Legal matters often take time to resolve and our aim is to keep you updated on all new developments in your case. Whilst this may result in several weeks between our communications with you, this does not mean that no activity or action is taking place on your case. We work relentlessly on your behalf behind-the-scenes to achieve your desired outcome as quickly as possible. By streamlining our process we are then able to keep the cost down.

A: First and foremost, each of our clients is fully entitled to know exactly of the pricing. So at your very first visit, we’ll give you an approximation of what the cost of our services will be. We encourage a frank, open discussion about our fees with each client at the time of the first consultation.
Usually, and in our company’s case as well, the lawyer on the case gets paid under various fee arrangements. Such as:
Hourly fee:

On an hourly fee basis, fees are based on an hourly rate for services which were provided by our team and individual lawyers and paralegals. A detailed, itemised bill will be given to you showing all work done on your case.

Flat fee:

When counted within the flat fee basis, your legal bill is a fixed sum for agreed upon services. In such an arrangement of fees, no in-detail accounting will be made.

Contingency fee:

On a contingency fee basis, your legal fees will be based on the amount of recovery and productivity we get for you in the court.

This approach basically means – no recovery, no fee. You may have the option of choosing this plan in lieu of hourly charges. Not all cases qualify for the contingency basis; we will tell you if yours does.

Other potential fees:

A pre-payment type of legal fee is usually required in order to begin to process your matter and you will be kept advised as to how that pre-payment is being used. We’ll always keep you up with detailed bills and payments made on your case’s behalf.

Certain cases may have a minimum fee. This means that no hourly accounting will be made unless excess time is expended.
